Lovesick 2016 Recap

I attended the lovesick expo again this year, and as always it was a total blast. A few old favorites were there along with some new folks rockin’ the house. I didn’t get to everyone, of course, and I wish I had time to talk to all of the vendors. The handful that I *did* get to talk to were awesome and represent a great segment of the Bay Area’s Wedding vendors.

Thanks again to Rock Wall Wines for hosting and to Lovesick and Offbeat Bride for putting on the show.

Angel Cakes is a wonderful bakery based out of Oakland. Jen makes the moistest and sweetest little nuggets of joy. I had a Mojito flavored cupcake that I’m seriously still thinking about. And yes, she does vegan cupcakes!

Corey Egan makes beautiful jewelry. She describes her work as “Casually Elegant” which is so true! Her work is organic and offbeat, but still totally classy.

Epic Couples is a life coaching – relationship coaching, all around “oh crap we’re in this for the long haul let’s make sure we do it right” kind of coaching. Simply put ‘Epic Couples helps you become co-founders of an incredible life together’.

Glass Coat Photo Booth was listed as one of my favorites last year, and again they showed their great, clean and bright photo booth.

Heart of Gold DJs are SO GOOD.  Seriously, so good! You can tell how much they love music by the way they themselves couldn’t stop dancing. They connected to all their couples and had smiles on all day.  I can not WAIT to work with them this weekend at a wedding!

Home Sweet Flowers is a lovely florist with a focus on locally grown flowers for your wedding day. They provided the makings for flower crows for all the participants of Lovesick and it made for such a beautiful day! Everyone bedecked in lovely flowers!

Sarah at Warner’s Whole Heart Events is not only a great planner, she’s a great person! She’s friendly, uber-organized and a little nerdy (she’s wearing a time-turner!) She offers a full range of planning services for all manner of couples. I’ve worked with her on a few weddings and they always go off without a hitch.

Kendra Renee creates modern fine jewelry. Handmade, gorgeous, and unique. Her work is striking and bold, but not in a shouting way… more of a understated coolness that stands the test of time.

Radical Ceremony creates and performs ceremonies. Anisha specializes in working with clients who hail from interfaith and intercultural backgrounds, and/or who may have complex family and cultural components to consider in their story.

Red Hots Burlesque is so fun. I mean, come on. Let’s just agree to always have burlesque dancers at all parties, ok?

Sasser Events is a full service wedding planning business. Casey is a sweetheart and an great planner. Her wedding focus on authentic and unique celebrations.
Stereo Photo Album is probably my new favorite vendor! ACK! so adorable. Sam makes beautiful viewfinder reels with a vintage 3-d camera and boxes it all up in a gorgeous case with a viewer. What an amazing addition to your regular photography package, am I right? .
Susan Cartwright Designs is a florist with such a great eye for color! Those orange beauties are just stunning.
U Had Me at Cake is a wonderful little bakery out of Dublin that makes just the most adorable custom cake pops and other sweets. Seriously go look at them some are too dang cute to eat!

And last, but not least ME! Nah, just my lovely floral friend California Sister who made those STUNNING flowers at my booth. She managed to reach into my brain and create the exact thing I was thinking while I just muttered words at her like “red! boho! gold! organic!”

I missed the names of the folks that had the JUMPY HOUSES. But really, what wedding is complete without a jumpy house, corn hole and giant connect 4?
