Kacper and Jenna had the most lovely location for their wedding ceremony. One of my new favorite spots to shoot, San Francisco City Hall. For people not in the know, SF City Hall is one of the most fantastic places for an intimate celebration. You can do the standard city hall in the rotunda ceremony, which is stunning as well; or you can rent out a side balcony and enjoy the beautiful soft light and view down into the main hall. Kacper and Jenna opted for the latter and what a day it was! The ceremony was sweet and beautiful, followed by a dinner at the delicious and fun Waterbar on the Embarcadero. The whole celebration was coordinated by the fantastic team at Lily Spruce, who are not only great at their job, but fun to work with as well. Enjoy these photos and much happiness to you as you start this next chapter!
Liz and Chuck are two of the sweetest folks you’ll have the pleasure of meeting. Their wedding was a lovely combination of sweetness and silliness, love and laughter and a big splash of good old fashioned nerdiness. (Coming from me, that’s a total compliment, by the way.) They had bookmarks as place cards, books as centerpieces, a reading nook by the fire pit (s’mores!) and a telescope set up to view the nearly full moon! So fun and completely their personality. But the most unique part of the celebration was the dance lesson! The couple and many of their friends do some competitive dancing and thought it would be fun for the guest to learn some dance moves! I loved the idea, and watching the majority of the guests learn a “real” dance was just a blast. Plus, they just really, really love each other and isn’t that the best detail of all?
Earlier this month I took my family down to the San Diego area to join in the amazing wedding celebration of my cousin Alison. Not only did I get to be a guest for a little bit, I had the distinct honor of photographing this amazing and lovely affair. Assisted by the talented Russell Edwards (half of these images are courtesy of him) and my patient husband, I was able to both enjoy the festivities and capture some beautiful images.
Thank you to both families for allowing me to be a part of your day and I’m so happy and filled with joy for both of you!
Sunny and Naomi had a vow renewal at the beautiful Ocean Song Wilderness center. It was a scorching weekend after an unexpected summer rain and the flowers and grasses were so bright and colorful – it was lovely to behold. The sunshine and the flowers dimmed in comparison to the happy faces of the lovely couple and their friends and family. I have rarely seen a bride with a bigger smile than the ravishing Naomi. And Sunny, the handsome groom could hardly keep his eyes off his lovely bride.
The crowd was an amazingly friendly and funny group and I had a fantastic time capturing their smiles.
Congrats you two, thanks for sharing your day with us!
Amy and Ryan had a sweet wedding at the ever lovely Vine Hill House in Sebastopol. Despite the scorching heat Amy was a stunning bride and Ryan a dashing groom. All their family and friends were overjoyed to come together in such a gorgeous (and shaded) location to celebrate their love. Amy’s parents are dear friends of my parents, so it felt very much like a family affair. I am always so honored to be asked to photograph for friends and family, and it really adds a special element to my day of “work”.
