Crystal and Chris tied the knot at Rancho Wikiup, a very funky and unique venue in Santa Rosa. You might remember this happy couple from their engagement session at their family ranch. As expected this was a cheery and family centered affair in true DIY style. Crystal and her family and friends really pulled together an amazing celebration full of sweet little touches. My favorite part of the details had to be their amazing rice crispy treat wedding cake (yes, you read that right) made by Chris’ grandma. But all the details, all the parts of the ceremony, were equally sweet and joyful. My assistant for the wedding, Jessamyn Harris, remarked a few times that she’d never seen such a happy groom and I agree! There were lots of smiles and lots of love all around. Best wishes to the lovely couple, may your wedded life be as sweet as rice crispy treats 😉
Yesterday found me hanging out under the glorious redwoods celebrating the love of Melissa & Matt. They held their ceremony and reception at Riverfront Regional Park A hidden little gem in the Sonoma County Parks. Honestly, you couldn’t have asked for a better venue. The weather was lovely, the light stunning and those trees never fail to take my breath away. Theres something so humbling about being in the redwoods, and it was awesome to celebrate such an amazing thing in the midst of the woods. I have lots more to say, but I want to get this posted before they head off to their honeymoon! (yay!) So for now enjoy the beautiful simplicity of a wedding in the woods. Big love.
Mr. Chris is the big brother of my long time best friend, so he falls into the category of honorary big brother. Their mama is like a second mom to me and I am so honored that I was asked to photograph his wedding to the beautiful Dina. We hadn’t talked prior to the wedding, a thing which would shock most brides. I think it just shows me how much she trusts Chris and how at peace she is with making decisions. When you’re about to married that’s a really good quality to have. 🙂
Their wedding was held at the Center for Spiritual Enlightenment, a sweet and beautiful church and grounds in San Jose. Their intimate ceremony focused on their common spirituality and paths, and the comfort and support of community. It was simply lovely. My favorite part of the day was just watching how at ease this couple was with each other. Every time they looked at each other a big smile would spread across their faces as they looked into each other’s eyes.
All the best to both of you as you begin your journey together, I’m so happy to have been there to witness your sweet beginning!
We’ve been having a lovely time vacationing with the grandparents and enjoying the summer. I’m in a little lull between weddings so we’re all relaxed and happy. I hope you and your family are enjoying the beautiful summer as well!
